Acol at BBO - Pairs Set up a Table

First, check whether your table has already been set :

Click on the "Play Bridge" button.

Click on the "Public Bridge Clubs" line.

Click on the "Acol Players' Bridge Club" line.

If there is already a table set for your match, with your name reserved at a seat, click on your name - you're ready to play.

If your table is not yet set - do it now and wait for your colleague players to join you.

Click on the "Start New Table" button.

The "New table options" window will open up. Fill it in as follows -

Choose (or confirm) Duplicate IMPs as the type of table

Do not make the table invisible - kibbers will not be able to find you, nor will your partner or opponents.

Enter a description for the table.
"Acol Pairs League" is good, as is anything which announces to kibbers that this is an Acol Pairs League match.
Some of our more humorous friends will, no doubt, introduce some novelties - we will soon get used to them.

Choose (or confirm) Allow Kibitzers at the table.

You will usually not allow chat with players from Kibitzers. Although you can allow kibbers to chat to the table, some players might find that a distraction at a time when they want to concentrate.

You must choose to require permission for players - otherwise, if there is a temporary disconnection, it may be possible for a stranger to jump into the vacant seat.

Do not choose to require permission for Kibitzers - else you will get constant interruptions.

Reserve a seat for yourself, for your partner (opposite you) and for your opponents to each side. (Please ensure that you spell all the names correctly - including spaces and the correct number of hyphens or underlines - or else the player will not be able to take the seat.)

Double check that you have chosen the correct options. Then click the "OK" button - you have finished setting up the table.

Now sit back - you are ready to play when the other three players arrive and take their seats.
