| 1 | BBO and Acol Club Rules | |
| a) | The Acol Club subscribes to the BBO Rules on Undos (BBO > Explore Bridge > Bridge Library > The Rules of this Site). | |
| b) | Tables played in the Acol Club very often accept a more relaxed view of Undos, especially where one of the pairs is an occasional or 'learning' partnership. For example, it is not unusual for Undos to be requested and allowed where there has been a misunderstanding about the use of a convention; indeed, in such circumstances it is often the opponents who bring attention to the error and suggest an Undo request. | |
| c) | Because this league provides a competitive edge to a friendly game, it is sensible to expect a more constrained attitude to Undos. | |

| a) | Subject to f) below, the only acceptable reason for an Undo request is a misclick. | |
| b) | There is never an obligation on the opposing pair to accept such a request, nor to give a reason for a refusal.. | |
| c) | It is inappropriate for a player to be offended by the refusal to accept an Undo request. | |
| d) | It is inappropriate to request an Undo, or accept such a request, where to do so would give or receive unauthorised information. Examples include - | |
| > A request for the Undo of a bid, after a subsequent bid or pass; | ||
| > A request for the Undo of a card played by the defending pair (especially the opening lead); | ||
| > A request for the Undo of a card played by the declaring pair, after a subsequent play by the defenders; | ||
| > Where the request for an Undo would, of itself, give unauthorised information. | ||
| e) | It is inappropriate for a member of a pair to request an Undo because of a misunderstanding about a convention used by that pair. Pairs in this league are expected to agree all their systems before they take part in any league match. | |
| f) | It is acceptable to request the Undo of a bid, irrespective of any subsequent bid, upon it becoming clear that an opponent's conventional bid was insufficiently alerted and thereby misunderstood. Such a request will invariably be accepted. | |
